i just got my copy of my latest book visual poetry! the print and paper quality are stunning and the book looks unreal – i am so excited!! i was flipping through the pages down at the harbor and snapped the photo above. click on it for a larger view.  yeeeaaahooooo!

yosemite

just got back from a camping trip in yosemite national park with the family. we had a blast swimming in the river, eating marshmellows, climbing on rocks and biking around the valley. it was refreshing and revitalizing. above is a picture i took of a classic yosemite sign in curry village.

last week jacob (pictured above) and i went up into the santa barbara mountains to shoot some videos for the companion site for the book visual poetry. the site should be live in a few weeks – i’ll write a post once it’s all wrapped up.

tim mantoani interview

tim mantoani has been working on an amazing project titled, ”behind the photographs.” he is a brooks institute grad and was having a show at brooks institute (where i teach). the show is absolutely stunning. if you live anywhere near santa barbara you have to check it out! to the left is a photo that i snapped of tim while he was setting up the show.

i apologize for the delay in posting over the last few weeks. i’ve been busy finishing up my most recent book. today i received the cmyk proof and everything is looking good! (thanks to my friend greg lawler for snapping, cross-processing and sending the photo above.) i can’t tell you how excited i am about this project – only a few more weeks and it will be live!
