rincon

last time i went surfing i brought along the blackbird (mentioned in the previous post) and stashed it in the bushes. i took some photos before and after surfing. it was a great way to combine two of my passions. i wasn’t too sure how they’d turn out yet when i got the film back i was pleasantly surprised. here’s one of my favorites from that day.

This may be a dumb question but I have to ask it: Did you develop the film yourself or did you just ask the lab to not cut your negatives?

ya know what, now that i think about it you’re right. it was taken earlier in the day. i snapped off a few frames as i was just walking out before hitting the surf. i fixed the copy.

that’s a great question. i had the lab develop the film and then i cut and scanned the film on a flat bed epson scanner.

Thanks for the response Chris….I don’t know if any local labs won’t automatically mount all slide film so I’ll have to ask around.
