book signing – feb 4th in santa barbara!
one of my life’s biggest privileges is being on the professional photography faculty at the world renown brooks institute in santa barbara, ca. and one of my most proud accomplishments is my recent book titled visual poetry – a creative guide for making engaging digital photographs. this week i have the unique opportunity to take part in an event that celebrates both of these things! here’s the scoop:
on thursday feb 4th from 5-8pm, i will be joining 3 of my esteemed colleagues who have also recently published books (pictured above) for a book signing event at the cota st gallery. while we all teach at brooks, each of us have a different way of thinking, teaching and taking pictures. this type of diversity is one of brooks celebrated strengths and it will make for a fun evening that you won’t want to miss. at the event, the gallery will have books for sale and all the proceeds go directly to the vern miller scholarship fund.

Bummer! I say that because I’m presently in Ohio and will not be able to make it to the book signing. I would enjoy meeting you and your colleagues. Have fun, even if I’m not there. :-)

Same story as all the others above! I’d love to have the opportunity to meet all of you! I’ve read both yours and Ralph’s book, and I cannot stop recommending them to other friends in photography. Unfortunately, the road trip from Houston to Santa Barbara is a bit lengthy for me.
By the way, do you have any galleries in the Houston area?

Both this book last year while i was away in Dubai for a photo workshop. Never really got to reading it, just picked it up about 3 hours ago and so far i haven’t been able to put it down, its easily one of the best photography books i have ever owned, and i own plenty. your are such a great teacher Chris, thanks
