Win a Lowepro Camera Backpack!

pack

Need another camera backpack? Here’s the scoop – I just found out that my book titled Visual Poetry is currently being sold in Costco stores across the country. How crazy is that!? It’s also featured in Costco’s monthly magazine (see below). It’s an interesting opportunity to reach a broader audience and even more, my mom shops at Costco so I know that she’ll be proud ;)

I myself don’t frequent Costco and would love to see it, so here’s a simple contest. Take a photo (with your camera phone or whatever) of you or someone else holding the book(s) in Costco and email it to me. corwig (at) gmail . com. I’ll post the pics and select a random winner for the LowePro Primus AW Camera Backpack. It’s an amazing backpack, made primarily from recycled materials. Read more about it below. And a big thanks to Lowepro to their continued support and to Costco for picking up the book! Cheers and I can’t wait to see your pics!

Here’s some info from LowePro’s site about the backpack: LowePro Primus AW Camera Backpack
A perfect combination of fast access and all weather protection, the Primus AW was built for the backcountry. Rugged construction with a recycled, water resistant outer fabric and a seam-sealed AW cover protects gear. This pack also conforms to a variety of body types with an adjustable 8-point harness system giving the adventure photographer exceptional comfort under heavy load. The lumbar-equipment access point keeps the bag off the ground when digging for equipment in either of the two padded compartments. Gear retrieval is further complimented by a side access zipper that gives the user quick camera access without taking the bag off. Combine that with pockets and features that are made for today’s adventure photographer and the Primus AW delivers adjustable comfort with tough camera protection.

In commemoration of Lowepro’s 40th anniversary, we are proud to introduce the industry’s first backpack designed for the professional photographer that is made primarily from recycled materials. Funds raised from the sale of the Primus AW backpack will support Polar Bears International PBI, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the worldwide conservation of the polar bear.

Congratulations Chris. Perhaps it should be a photo of your mother holding the book in Costco. :-) Like Andres I can’t enter because there are no Costco outlets in NY. The nearest are across the border in Canada.

Now in Costco… awesome! I’m currently living in India and haven’t gotten the good fortune to check out the book yet. Hope to check it out though on my next trip back to the states. I was there for the online webcast about the book, very inspiring stuff! Maybe I can talk my folks into a Costco run. Congrats Chris and thanks for the contest!!

This might require the 2 hour drive to Albuquerque and back. I’m sure I could find other things to do while I’m there, like buy cute things for my brand new grandson.

Darn, now where’d I put my Costco card? :)

I picked it up at Costco (how I found out that you were a person). I haven’t read it yet because I have the attention span of a squirrel. Maybe a long car ride where someone else is driving. Love the photos I’ve seen so far though! You are made of talent!

I bought your book at Costco here in Portland … I love it!! I’ve already been using my kamera as my writing tool and your book has been a great incentive for me.
