i was digging through the archives today and came across these two shots (click on the image for a larger view). they were captured with a medium format camera at the middle of the day. most say you can’t/shouldn’t shoot in full sun. your thoughts? as for me, i like the contrast and mood of these pics.

standing with sticks

went camping along the beach this last weekend with some good friends. i love being on the coast during the spring – walking through wildflowers, feeling the brisk breeze and basking in the warming sun. i like the photograph above and how simple and timeless it feels. the wind in their hair. the two girls looking away while the other two look ahead. childhood moves so fast and here they are for just one moment, standing with sticks.
